Helen Pearson ( Control, Bretons Buddy )
Hello my name is Helen and this is my handsome
boy Herbie, he is a 2yr old border collie who means the world to me.
I joined Bretons Dog Club with my first border
collie called Sunshine in 1983, when the club was very young, at
that time we did control and agility and entered a few Agility
shows. Sunshine and I had 15 great years together my other dog
called mutley helped to fill the gap that Sunshine had left and life
moved on.
In 2006, along came Herbie with all his energy,
I decided to re-join Bretons I’m glad to say the club was still
running, Coming back to Bretons was scary but I was made so welcome,
I soon fell back into the different methods like clicker training
for one it works unbelievable well but like all things the more
practice you do through the week at home, out walking etc.. The more
results you will see.
We train Sunday mornings control and agility,
plus Monday evening agility at Alborough Hall, which herb and I
enjoy so much.
I’ve made great friends at this club, we walk
regularly every week and practice our control and help each other
with ideas.
This year I went on the committee side of the
club and I am looking forward to the coming year and helping the
club and new members with their training. (As a Bretons buddy)
Love Helen & Herbie xx
