Hi I am Peter Staines I
am one of the Control Trainers at Bretons Dog Training Club. I
joined the club approximately 12 years ago with one of my Great
Danes. I immediately took to the Bretons approach and was
impressed by the wealth of knowledge at the clubs disposal.
After being with the
club for a while I was asked to help out with the training.
This inspired me to learn more about the subject of Dog Training
and the human/dog relationship. I slowly began to build my
knowledge of dog training principles by attending numerous
training courses and I embraced the modern positive methods. I
have also studied dog behaviour and psychology as I find to be
able to understand the dog enables us to train them in a more
confident way.
I train Control classes
every Sunday at Bretons. My classes use a variety of different
training methods, all of which are suitable for pet dogs. I do
not train using harmful or negative methods. I believe the best
results can be achieved when dog and owner work together and
learn from each other in a confident friendly environment. I
strive to keep up with changes in dog training methods to ensure
dogs and owners that attend Bretons DTC are getting the best I
can give.
